Live Longer Better: Information for Community Groups and Independent Living Schemes
Community groups and spaces such as independent living schemes or friendship cafes do such an amazing job of bringing people, often older adults, together. This also provides a great opportunity to include some gentle movement in a group setting, whilst in a safe environment that is known and trusted by the service users.
Inclusive Activity programme
The Inclusive Activity programme (IAP), created by Activity Alliance, is an CIMPSA accredited programme, that will equip you with the skills to engage disabled people and people with long-term health conditions more effectively in physical activity.
We have some licenses available for Gloucestershire organisations to access the self-led online learning which will upskill you, your employees, and volunteers on how to make activities fun and inclusive for everyone. It is ideal for the sport and leisure sector, community groups and organisations, disability organisations, and individuals supporting disabled people and people with long-term health conditions.
