Live Longer Better: Information for Activity Providers
As Activity providers, no matter the activity, you have a role in making sure that your offer is as inclusive as possible for older adults. This can play a massive part in promoting a healthy lifestyle and can mean so much more than just an hour of activity, it can also provide social connects and help tackle isolation. As we age, Long Term Conditions may become more common, so it is important to understand how to adapt if needed.
Inclusive Activity programme
The Inclusive Activity programme (IAP), created by Activity Alliance, is an CIMPSA accredited programme, that will equip you with the skills to engage disabled people and people with long-term health conditions more effectively in physical activity.
We have some licenses available for Gloucestershire organisations to access the self-led online learning which will upskill you, your employees, and volunteers on how to make activities fun and inclusive for everyone. It is ideal for the sport and leisure sector, community groups and organisations, disability organisations, and individuals supporting disabled people and people with long-term health conditions.
LWE – The Live Longer Better Course
The live longer better course is based on a lifetime of experience and scientific research and will encourage you to re-examine the way you look at the process of ageing. You will finish the course with a new-found positive outlook on this process.
