Celebrating Local Women and Inspiring the Next Generation

As part of Gloucester Rugby’s Kings Square Rugby Takeover, this special panel event brings together inspiring local women and girls to share their stories of getting into and staying in physical activity.

Through honest conversations, we’ll explore the barriers they’ve faced, the support that made a difference, solutions and their hopes for the next generation. Whether you’re a coach, parent, student, community leader, or someone who is interested to learn more, this session will leave you motivated to make movement more inclusive and empowering for all.

Would you like to promote your club for FREE? Join the Kings Square Takeover!

We’re inviting community groups and local sports organisations to host a stall (for free!) and join the fun. You don’t have to be rugby-related – just passionate about helping people feel welcome, try something new, and get moving.

We’re excited to be supporting the upcoming Kings Square Rugby Takeover as part of the Women’s Rugby World Cup celebrations – and we’d love for you to be involved, or to pass this opportunity on to others who might be interested!

This free, family-friendly event is all about celebrating rugby – but more importantly, it’s a chance to spotlight local opportunities that help people move more and get active.

With the Women’s Rugby World Cup drawing national attention, we want to make the most of the moment to showcase Gloucester’s brilliant sport and activity opportunities, especially those supporting women and girls.

Whether it’s rugby, walking groups, dance, outdoor play or anything in between – we want to help people discover what’s on their doorstep.

Event Details:

  • Saturday 30th August
  • Kings Square, Gloucester
  • Stall located within the brand new City Campus
  • Sport and activity stalls: Approx 11am–3pm
  • Free for the public to attend
