Podcast: Place-based working in Gloucestershire

Place-based working, where we understand specific areas in more depth and provide tailored and unique support is a growing national priority to reduce our most stubborn physical activity inequalities.
Within Gloucestershire, working in a hyper local way enables Active Gloucestershire and We can move changemakers to understand the barriers and enablers to moving more in communities, and ensure that systemic inequalities are addressed, with both communities and leaders across local systems at the heart of decisions and actions.
In this episode we explore the history of We can move’s work in place-based approaches, asset-based community development and strengths-based principles, before moving on to discuss the future of this work across Gloucestershire and how proportionate universalism could pave the way for this work to move forwards, at scale.
