Active Gloucestershire are thrilled to announce the generous donation of 30 pairs of shoes from Gloucestershire College. In keeping with our mission to make physical activity accessible for all, we reached out to local charities to ensure these shoes benefit those who need them most.

The shoes have been donated to Honour Thy Woman, a charity empowering women and those who identify as women in our communities against domestic abuse, Cheltenham Open Door, a small charity that supports vulnerable, disadvantaged and lonely people through a variety of services and Smiles Community Coffee Shop, who are a community coffee shop run by volunteer organisation Gloucester Feed The Hungry, which serves the homeless and vulnerable in the community, under the new name of Smiles Community Coffee Shop. This partnership will help empower people in our community, encouraging physical activity and well-being. We’re excited to see how this donation helps individuals take those important steps – whether it’s joining a local running club, walking for health, or simply feeling more comfortable as they move through their daily lives.

A huge thank you to Gloucestershire College for their generosity and to the local charities for their incredible work! Together, we’re making a difference, one step at a time.
