PE & School Sport: The Annual Report 2025

This pivotal report from the Youth Sport Trust explores the growing challenges facing children’s physical activity and wellbeing across the UK. With only 48% of young people meeting daily movement guidelines and nearly 1 in 5 students experiencing cancelled PE lessons, the findings highlight urgent gaps in provision and awareness. Yet, the report also reveals a strong desire among pupils and educators to prioritize sport and play with 93% of young people valuing PE and 96% of teachers affirming its mental health benefits.
