Tewkesbury is located in the north-eastern part of Gloucestershire, England. It is situated at the meeting of the River Severn and the River Avon. Tewkesbury is approximately 10 miles (16 km) southeast of the city of Gloucester and around 20 miles (32 km) north of Cheltenham. The town is known for its medieval history, including Tewkesbury Abbey and its significant role in the Battle of Tewkesbury during the Wars of the Roses.
