Following the resounding success of the 2024 event, we are excited to invite you to the We Can Move Event 2025, taking place on Wednesday 21st May 2025 at the iconic Kingsholm Stadium, Gloucester.

We can move is more than an event, campaign, or project- it’s a collective of people working together to create change. By joining us, you’ll be part of something bigger: a movement dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and sustainable county- now and for future generations. Through sport, physical activity, and movement, we can shape a healthy, happy Gloucestershire.

This free, open, and inclusive event welcomes people from all sectors – whether you work or volunteer in health, education, sport, planning, culture or community development. It’s a chance to:

Be inspired by stories from across the county and beyond.
Connect and collaborate with like-minded individuals and organisations.
Gain fresh knowledge and practical insights to drive action and change.

Expect a dynamic mix of discussions, workshops, talks, and cinematic experiences, exploring key themes such as:

  • Creating positive experiences across a lifetime – making movement a lifelong habit.
  • Living longer, better – rethinking ageing and physical activity.
  • The power of local places and people – unlocking communities’ potential to drive change.
  • Cross-sector collaboration – working together to improve health and wellbeing.
  • Championing sustainability – understanding how physical activity can contribute to environmental sustainability and the tools to make a difference.
  • Embedding equality, diversity, and inclusion – ensuring opportunities to move are truly accessible for all.
  • Safeguarding and welfare – prioritising safe and supportive environments for everyone.
  • Health pathways – exploring how physical activity can be embedded within health systems to support prevention, recovery, and long-term wellbeing.

This is your opportunity to learn, share, and be part of a movement that is transforming lives through physical activity.
