    The Ramblers is Britain’s walking charity and they have a group in Gloucestershire. The Ramblers are a membership organisation and you can join them on group and led-walks across the county.

    Gloucestershire Outdoor Group are an enthusiastic group enjoying the great outdoors together, with plenty of walks, evenings out, and weekends away.

    Membership costs £6 per year.

    Cheltenham Walking Club are a friendly community who explore stunning local routes and improve your fitness with guided walks.

    They offer a 3 week trail.

    This group undertakes gentle strolls in the Forest of Dean which last about an hour and then meet for coffee.

    These group walks are for people who are interested in moving more and being more sociable. All walks are very gentle and are designed to be accessible to everyone of all fitness levels.

    A women’s walking group. A place for women to meet up on a weekly basis, enjoying walking and talking about our experiences of trying to navigate our way through the menopause, sharing tips and thoughts. Along with getting out in the fresh air.

  • FoD Community Walks

    These walks are based all around the Forest of Dean taking in its natural beauty and stunning views. There is generally a choice of walks of between 10 – 60 minutes duration. Most of our walks finish at a café where we can get refreshments and have a chat.

    GBG Bikes is led by local charity, Goals Beyond Grass. They offer inclusive cycling for all abilities by providing adapted bikes. They can cater for people with a range of disabilities.

  • Lions at Large

    There are 32 large Lion sculptures, painted by local artists; celebrating Gloucestershire’s rich history, culture and diversity. They are joined by the Cub Club – a pride of 54 little Lions lovingly created by local schools and community groups.

    This is a fun, free and family-friendly Wild in Art event.
