Mental Health and Wellbeing
Being physically active can greatly benefit a young person’s mental health.
Our mental health is much like our physical health, and physical activity is not only good for our bodes but it’s great for our minds too. It can boost our mood, help us to sleep better, improve concentration and generally just make us feel good.
Being active doesn’t have to mean joining a gym or a sports club, and through our supportive programmes we help young people find the activity that is right for them.
Through our work we help children and young people to stay mentally healthy and enable them to identify how they can improve their mental wellbeing when they need a boost.
Activity on Referral
Activity on referral is a supportive programme that links young people to local, community based activities that we know will support their mental health.
Yoga in schools
Working with Shift Yoga, we have introduced yoga into schools to support children and young people’s mental health & wellbeing.
