Support people to live longer better by joining the network
Our active ageing forum brings together organisations, from those providing care or services for older adults, to charities and volunteer groups. Together they share the same goal – helping older adults be active.
There are also a range of others networks including Know Your Patch and a ‘Meaningful Activity and Wellbeing Network’, specifically for activity co-ordinators working in support and care settings.
Join the Network
We believe in the power of active ageing and using movement to age well. It’s about more than staying fit, it’s about living fully, staying connected, and embracing every chapter of life with joy and purpose.
Our Active Ageing Network brings together partners from a wide range of sectors, who are all just as passionate as we are about how we create conditions for older people to be active. The network allows people and organisations to come together to share ideas, create partnerships and connect the dots of all the great work that is going on across our county.
We know that we have a growing older population. However, we also know that not everyone has the access to opportunities to age well. Unfair inequalities exist that impact how well we age, including where we live, our gender, our financial status or our level of education. This network aims to help tackle these inequalities.
Whether you’re an activity provider, work within the NHS, a local VSE organisation, or are someone who simply cares about making a difference, come and join us at one of our networks.
