    Access & Terrain: Firm tarmac and ramp access throughout; all areas wheelchair-accessible

    Transport: Served by Stagecoach buses 8 and 10. Cycling lanes available on Metz Way/Abbeymead Ave. Near Gloucester city centre

  • Churchdown Hill (Chosen Hill)

    Duration: Various circular walks – 30 min to 1½ hrs depending on route

    Access & Terrain: Some smooth paths from St Bartholomew’s car park; but many paths feature uneven ground, steps, tree roots. Best suited for ambulant walkers.

    Facilities: Parking at church; nearby local shops and cafés in Churchdown village.

    Transport: Served by Stagecoach bus routes 94, 97, 98 between Cheltenham and Gloucester

    Duration: Two main loops: short (30 min) and longer (up to 2 hrs)

    Access & Terrain: Most trails are natural and gently graded. Mobility-friendly paths around base; summit slopes are steeper. All-terrain Tramper scooter available to hire for parts of the hill

    Facilities: Café, toilets (incl. accessible), play area, free parking for 30+ vehicles

    Transport: Accessible via Gloucester city bus services; bike routes available on Stroud Road and approaches.

    Transport: Limited bus service; best by car or connecting cycle paths
