Severn Ham and Riverside Walk
Duration: 45 minutes
Access: All abilities, pushchair and wheelchair accessible up to point 6 of the route
Terrain: Mainly flat, paved riverside pathways. Severn Ham involves grassy meadow paths
Facilities: Cafes, shops and pubs in Town Centre, toilets at the Visitor Centre
Transport: Close Tewkesbury High Street, regular buses from Gloucester, Cheltenham and Bishops Cleeve, paid and some free parking in the Town Centre
Tewkesbury Nature Reserve
Duration: 60 minutes
Access: All abilities, step free, accessible in places for wheels. Contact access@tewkesburynaturereserve.org.uk for more information about access.
Terrain: grassy paths, uneven ground, can be muddy when wet
Facilities: No facilities are available but it’s just a short walk from Tewkesbury Town Centre and other local amenities.
Transport: Tewkesbury Nature Reserve Car park can be found off the A38, near the Wheatpieces estate (rough postcode GL20 5FF). Further information about public transport, the different entrances and a map of trails can be found below.
Tewkesbury Circular
Duration: 3 hours
Access: Some paths are not suitable for wheels such as the riverbank and meadow tracks. See route details for more information.
Terrain: Mixed surfaces: paved streets, riverbanks, meadow tracks. Some inclines.
Facilities: Cafes, toilets, pubs in the Town Centre
Transport: Regular bus services available from Gloucester and Cheltenham, Tewkesbury has some dedicated bike paths. Bike storage is available in the Town Centre.
Tewkesbury to Twyning via River Avon
Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes
Access: Accessible for wheels in most areas
Terrain: Riverside footpaths and towpaths; flat terrain
Facilities: Cafes, toilets and pubs available in Tewkesbury Town Centre and Twyning
