An opportunity for organisations, communities and individuals to work together to help people in Gloucestershire get active.
We can move is Gloucestershire's social movement that brings together organisations, communities and individuals that want to work together to help people in Gloucestershire get active.
In Gloucestershire, almost a quarter of people are not active. By working together, we want to remove any barriers and support people to get active for not only their physical health but their mental health too.
This event aims to brings people together to help make that vision a reality.
The event is open to anyone in Gloucestershire that supports others to get active, such as those who write the county's policies, funders, community groups, activity providers and key individuals who can support people to get moving.
The event will be made up of nine sessions, three in the morning, three around midday and three in the afternoon. Attendees can choose to attend one session in each slot. Each session will be followed by a break.
This event is a great opportunity for you to meet like minded people who support people to get active. Please use the breaks as a time to network as well as the dedicated networking time from 3:30pm - 4:30pm.
The sessions include:
11am - Adapting to the new normal: the post-pandemic funding landscape for physical activity in Gloucestershire
11am - Bottoms Up! - Exploring how bottom up consortia and plans can work best for residents and help build community capacity for the long term
11am - Physical activity? That isn’t our thing: How to integrate physical activity and moving more into your existing provision or services, and why it matters so much.
12:10pm - Are we there yet? The past, present and future of Active Travel
12:10pm - It’s not just muddy puddles - How playful practice improve the physical and mental health of young people
12:10pm - Live Longer Better Gloucestershire: Creative and collaborative approaches to active ageing and ageing well
2pm - Taking collective action towards an inclusive, active county
2pm - Building up the health and wellbeing of our community through our own untapped potential
2pm - Commissioning: what can we learn from different approaches to commissioning
Once you have selected a ticket for general admission, you can choose the sessions you wish to attend. Please choose one session at 11am, one session at 12:10pm and one session at 2pm.
**Note: attendees can only choose one session per time slot.

Doors open at 9:30am and the event will start at 10am.
Note: Due to limited numbers, we do ask that no more than 3 attendees come from any one organisation, unless it is a large organisation with multiple teams (e.g. NHS organisations)
