Supporting those with long-term health conditions to be active

Now more than ever is there a need to encourage, inspire and support people to consider being active in a way that is important to them.

Whilst it can feel daunting approaching health conditions, by taking time to understand the ‘person’, you do not necessarily need specialised knowledge of a person’s long-term health condition to positively impact upon their experience.

Sometimes it can be helpful to have more in depth knowledge or training, but we need more people in the health, fitness and community activity space to join together in creating more opportunities for people living with long-term conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, frailty and dementia, respiratory disease or neurological conditions.
