Raise income, support your local community and raise your school’s profile.
Opening your school facilities is a Sport England funded project with over £1.5 million available to help schools open up their facilities to their local communities.
We can support your school by exploring the opportunities available and helping you with the practical steps to making them a reality. This support is delivered on behalf of the Department for Education as part of its ‘School Sport and Activity Action Plan’.
Contact our specialist Richard Fishlock, Physical Activity Specialist - facilities and active design, on 01452 393619 or on email.
By opening your school facilities, you can raise your school’s profile in the community, provide a new source of income, help your school to become or stay an outstanding school and support your provision of afterschool clubs. This can be a great way to diversify your activities offer as well as your school's income.
If your school has a small hall or theatre space it can be used for activities such as dance, Pilates, yoga. Indoor sports halls, multi-use games areas and artifical turf pitches can be used for formal sports. Your school can become a community hub.
