Event description

Active Gloucestershire are supporting people to take part in more physical activity and sport across Gloucestershire. Part of what we do is provide funding for activity to take place, run training courses and events so that people are more confident to deliver activity. We also help groups to set up new clubs, groups or activity sessions.

We want to see a county that is inclusive and accessible for everyone to take part in physical activity and sport, and so we are going to launch an advisory group around physical activity for disabled people in Gloucestershire and we’d like your thoughts on how this could take shape.

Once the advisory group is set up, it will help us decide the priorities for some of the work we do. The group will be involved in helping us make funding awards, plan new training offers and understand the barriers to being active that disabled people face and how we can improve our work to make a difference.

At this event, we want to hear your thoughts on how this advisory group could run. We want to design this in collaboration with you so we would love it if you were able to attend one of the sessions to hear more about it and for a conversation with a small group to provide your thoughts and suggestions.

This event is open to anyone with a disability who is 16+*. Under 18s need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Parents/guardians/carers or other family/friends are welcome to accompany and support anyone over 18.
