On Tuesday 28th April, a new weekly School Games challenge is being launched for children across Gloucestershire by Tweedy, the comedy and slapstick legend and star.

The challenge will be posted on social media and through all primary schools across Gloucestershire.

With social distancing still currently in place in the UK, staying healthy and active while at home has never been more important for our physical and mental well-being.

One of the most positive things to come out of the crisis is how people are coming together to respond to the challenges they are facing.  Gloucestershire’s fantastic team of school games organisers have had to change how they work. With schools closed, they are no longer able to work in schools.

They do not want students to miss out on the fun and fantastic atmosphere that the School Games bring so they are bringing some virtual fun to them. The School Games Organisers working with Active Gloucestershire and we can move are launching a virtual challenge.

The ‘Tweedy School Games Challenge’ will provide a weekly challenge to get children moving and having some fun. All of the challenges can be done indoors or in a garden and no special equipment or clothing is needed.
